Shortness of Breath
Tony or Luella,
I'm looking for a second opinion. My wife recently began complaining of shortness of breath and fatigue. Our doctor is having the normal heart tests run, and that's okay. At the same time I am wondering if over-medicating might be a problem, so would welcome your opinion. The below is for depression, glaucoma, melanoma, painful arthritis 24/7 and an extremely sensitive digestive system, i.e., constipation or diarrhea.
She takes the following:
Alprazolam .25 mg as needed
Tylenol 650 mg AM and PM, for continual arthritic back pain
Omaprazole 20 mg. AM
Lisinopril 20 mg AM
Veg. Laxative 8.26 mg night (Walmart)
Clear Lax 1 Tbsp night
Stool Softener 100 mg AM & PM
Methadone 2.5 mg AM & PM
Cimetidine 800 mg night (Part of a program which has held melanoma at bay 2 1/2 years so far, and substituted for interferon, due to her intolerance)
Xalatan 1 drop, both eyes PM (Glaucoma)
Pristique 25 mg AM & PM ("Generic" thru Canada, Doctor says there's no GENERIC Pristiqe --)
Lovastatin 20 mg Twice daily (Melanoma program)
Lovastatin 30 mg Twice daily " "
Aspirin .81 mg morning
Amlodipine Besylate 2.5 mg morning
Multivitamin 1 AM
See what I mean? Usually her physicals, except for the above complaints, have been good. We joke that except for the above problems she is in excellent health!
If this is overload for you I'll understand, but would welcome your thoughts.
As I have said before, we are grateful for you both.
Bill
