Hi I'm new to this forum. I have a couple of questions I hope someone can answer. I went to a Derm and was diagnosed with seb derm in Jan of this year. I had a little bit of redness and flaking around the folds my nose. The inside of my nose is very itchy and the top of my nose has some tingling quite often. It's not really red on the top of my nose, but I have noticed the pores on my nose getting a lot larger. I have never had large pores on my nose. Sometimes I get a red raised dot here and there and they stay for a long long time they usually don't go away but do get smaller. My face in general has become very greasy and my ears are extremely greasy. So my question is.... is this really seb. derm or was I misdiagnosed? I forgot to mention I was diagnosed with seb derm of the scalp about 14 years ago when I was having a burning sensation on my scalp, foul smell on back of my head and hair loss. If I use to many hair products my scalp will break out and start flaking. Hope someone can help.
Thanks The main concern is of my nose. Do these symptoms without much redness sound like sem derm? Also if it does what can I do for the annoying tingling sensation. I have used a topical steroid the doc prescribed with not much help. I wash my nose with Nizoral shampoo and have tried the tea tree oil mixed with glycerin and it seemed to create more little red (pimples here and there).
