Nascent is a very weak Iodine tincture usually containing only 1% elemental and no KI. It is also very pricey and its claims are only backed in pseudo-science, Edgar Cayce type mumbo-jumbo. It does give a noticeable effect due to the hygroscopic action of the alcohol carrier base.
However the 'believers' make much stronger claims and who could argue with that?
Lugols is a proven and solid value giving a balanced dose of elemental Iodine and potassium Iodide and is what the Iodine docs recommend along with Iodoral the Lugols equivalent in pill form.
