Re: [EDIT]Re: hypoglycemia
I used to get an unquenchable hunger after meals. I'd keep eating and eating. I ended up feeling -- nay, _being_ -- bloated. It felt awful.
I think what's happening is the food causes a blood
Sugar rise and both the blood
Sugar and other influences from the food cause an insulin rise. Then the blood
Sugar drops and keeps dropping because we AFers don't make as much cortisol as we need.
(Note, regarding cortisol: "Its primary functions are to increase blood sugar through gluconeogenesis; suppress the immune system; and aid in fat, protein and carbohydrate metabolism.")
I'm wondering if what's needed is a food that 1. raises blood sugar slowly, and 2. doesn't otherwise do much triggering of insulin release.
"Insulin is produced in the pancreas and released when any of the several stimuli are detected." Several stimuli. Two stimuli are blood protein and glucose from food. What are the others? Found some: sight, smell, anticipation of food.

Maybe food "pills" would help? Mostly fat, but then protein and some complex carbs? Sounds like nuts, as it were. Maybe swallow almonds?
