You'll be fine

Newmother

You have been in my thoughts for days and whether or not people express their support openly you can be assured that the whole of community on curezone wish you well, admire your dignity and will continue supporting you.

First of all you have got to get rid of all those peculiar thoughts that plague us all following such a trauma. A lot of folks do have a clean living but still have problems but you must not blame yourself, things happen. The negative emotion of worry anxiety and guilt can be just as damaging to our health. These emotions tend to contaminate our thoughts, but emotions and thoughts are not the same thing, so it is important to divert ones attention in those quiet moments to positive things.

My guess is that you should give yourself 3 month to recover and for your body to establish a new equilibrium, however, I am sure that people with personal experience can advise you better on the recovery period. In that time try and get the "improved diet" and "life changes" well under way, but I have a feeling that you may already have done this.

Above all enjoy your baby because they don't stay cute, little, helpless and lovable that long.

Bile leaks into the intestines in all of us, in fact up to 50% of the bile produced when we a not eating in released directly in the duodenum even when we have a gallbladder. The human liver secretes 600–1200 ml of bile a day. Much of your biliary cycle is unchanged and consequently you do not have to clean the intestines to remove bile. Bile is absorbed passively in the jejunum and colon and actively in the terminal ileum. Bile then returns to the liver by the portal vein. About only 5% of bile is lost during this cycle which exits with faeces each cycle. Consequently, the cycle of bile (or the enterohepatic cycle) is driven by the flow of bile from the biliary system and the absorption in the intestines. The intestinal pump can be maintained by providing it with food that transports quickly. Exercise like walking is also very beneficial which provides a gentle pumping action to the bowels. Fibrous food found in whole-grains, beans, fruit and vegetables helps ensure that old bile is disposed of and new bile created. The pectin found in combination with malic acid in apples and other fruits are particularly good ensuring fresh bile is produced by the liver.

Wow! What a lot to consider but it should keep you occupied over the weeks while you recover fully from your operation. Keep reading and increasing your knowledge.

Best wishes

Telman
