Here is the stuff on cortisol.

Collagen and protein are broken down in a catabolic state of function during Adrenal Fatigue.

 

I believe Cholesterol is high in Adrenal Fatigue because of/ the following.....if you see the following hormone cascade.  Cholesterol is the raw material for everything.   Well if your adrenal glands are tired, they are not using the raw material to make the hormones, so the cholesterol accumulates.
