It is a well-established FACT that FEMALE HORMONES (estrogen) play a very large role in gallbladder problems! If you notice, there are many more females than males with GB issues. It is said in teaching medical students (I know, I know, no one like "allopathic medical students"! LOL) that they learn the "prime candidate for GB disease is FEMALE, FERTILE, FAIR, FAT AND FORTY-ISH"-----taking hormone replacement therapy (another very BAD thing!) around menopause precipitates many GB attacks. Apparently estrogen causes stasis of bile and changes saturation levels and cholesterol amounts. Pregnancy can CERTAINLY start things up with gallbladder issues! Just an interesting fact...
