Re: Bloated on Fruitarian diet..why?
The fruit that is commercially available today (even the trees we have for planting and growing our own) is nothing like the fruit of even a hundred years ago (commercial hybridization of fruits and vegetables started back in the 1600's)... much of it is a product of this hybridizing, and monoculture, with hybridized fruits bred for looks, size, and a high
Sugar content... regardless of any other nutritional value, which in many cases is very poor.
Wild fruits are usually small, nutrient dense and somewhat bitter and tart, with much lower *sugar* content while being much more rich in nutrients.
A fruitarian diet with today's commercially available, many generations old hybridized fruit is not a good idea for anyone IMO.
Unless you can find (the hard part) and grow all of your own heirloom fruits... or, wild harvest.
