I want to fast more but need my strength again to make another hard push at work, so i don't want to go multiple days for now. I have been reading good things about intermittent fasting in general and 16/8 (or 19/5) specifically. The dry aspect is my own adaptation as is the "pure/no exceptions" aspect. 16/8 fits me better right now, partly because the 17 day fast was pretty recent and i am still too excited about food to eat only 5 hours per day :). Fasting in this way my energy is completely undiminished and i actually believe it to be greater than normal.
What i eat after: I usually break with herbal tea and/or fruit. Then have my budwig concoction about an hour later (organic flax seed oil/organic cottage cheese/organic fresh ground flax seeds/whey protein powder). Sometimes i'll have some veg soup with this meal. A couple hours later maybe more fruit, then an hour after that maybe another protein/veg meal (salmon or organic beef or organic eggs as 3 possibilities).... or possibly beans and veg... then a couple hours later usually more veg or fruit and/or herbal tea again as the last meal before bed.
Sorry about your candida... i do wonder how effective dry fasting might be against it.
