I think i agree with this 100 percent. Did bad things to myself chelating and thought i had stripped the mineral magnesium from my body (very poor stress tolerance, extreme muscle cramps/aching, very bad sound sensitivity) so started taking a decent amount orally, taking the mag chloride oil on skin, and having epsolm salt baths daily.
Did this for months.
Recently started to realise 1-sound sensitivity is probably worse than before and stress tolerance is horribly horribly worse than before 2-yep also got the very dry skin -on face, particularly forehead. Have started taking calcium supplement and i expect (in time) that these issues will resolve themselves(i took so much mag for soooo long)
Also something interesting to note-i am in hospital at the moment (investigating/getting my original problem fixed-a very rare gi thing) and was told all my labs are fine (so i expect that to mean minerals/electrolytes calc/mg, soo i dont fully understand that as i have the exact same things your describing from doing the exact same thing (taking to much mg)
