Re: Xolair for Candida
I would like to introduce a multi strain bifidus product do you have any recommendations?
I use Primadophius Bifidus and it works well at 10 billion/day.
Will probably add whey soon, more for weight gain then anything else. Been thinking about immunopro, what is your suggestion?
Immunopro looks excellent, but Designer Whey works very well at about 1/3 the price. The important thing is that it is highly digestible, and that you take it alone, without any fat, especially. It's hard to explain to people who have been experiencing various levels of chronic enteropathy how beneficial this stuff is.
I've read good things about butyrate, bought a bottle of calcium magnesium butyrate and would like to incorporate, how many mg do you take a day and when?
I used Butyraid, two tablets about a half an hour after each meal. That's 600 mg/day.
I was taking betatine hcl, switched over to tmg and digestive bitters when I read that supplementing hcl can reduce the pancrease's ability to produce it. I've been thinking about going back, but would like to have a stomach acid test first to conclude that I do have low stomach acid and then have a doctor advice on how much to take.
Gastric acid is produced in the cells lining the stomach. The pancreas produces enzymes. I don't agree with the concept that supplementing hcl or enzymes reduces the body's ability to produce it. I've never seen any credible evidence to support it. I think it's always a good idea to get tested.
I take a lot of vitamin c as either asorbate or amla fruit caps. Perfect
Can you educate me some more on bile salts and on lufernon, I havent heard any success stories of lufernon, I'm super skeptical of drugs, they helped get me in this mess, I'm not convinved they'll get me out of it, if I lived a natural organtic diet in the first place I wouldnt be in this mess, you can't fool the human body with chemicals, and throughing more chemicals at it wont return it to normalcy it'll just through it off more.
I did a lot of research before trying Lufenuron. It appealed to me because of it's non-toxicity. I don't think I could have gotten rid of the yeast without it. I had severe candidiasis in both large and small bowel and the Lufenuron got it down to a level where my immune system was able to take over.
I think you don't hear a lot of success stories with any anti-fungals because, IMHO, yeast is only part of the story. I think there is always bacterial involvement, in many cases parasitic involvement. And possibly other issues, such as heavy metals, etc.
Recovery also requires restoring or supplementing the entire digestive process and tackling inflammation. I think many get stuck in this stage, get frustrated, go back to old habits, and then relapse.
I came across Bile Salts when I was treating my SIBO. Bile salts stimulate Bile flow and thin the Bile. Bile is unglamorous, but nearly as complex as blood, and prone to malfunctioning. It breaks down fats, cleans the small bowel, and kills bacteria before being reabsorbed in the ileum and returning to the liver. The problem with inflammation is that it allows the blood supply to the liver to become toxic, resulting in malfunctioning bile. Bile and Bile Salts are different things, and you may want to experiment with both, but I would encourage you to do some independent research.

I agree that pharmaceuticals play a signifigant role in developing candidiasis, but I believe they can also help you get out of it. I think it's a judgement call and depends on the severity of your symptoms. I think you should do what you're comfortable with.
I hope this helps,
