Re: whey protein....
I'm a fine one to talk…but....I blame excessive sexua| activity, addiction to p 0 r n o g r a p h y and self-gratification as a MAJOR contributor to all of the little stresses than caused my adrenal fatigue.
There is not bigger legal rush of dopamine than an orgasm. And I had at least one a day for about 20 years. It very stimulating to your nervous system.
But you don't have to go all the way to orgasm for it to be damaging to your adrenal glands. Just looking at p 0 r n or having sexua| fantasies is stimulating. That's why is feels good....because it is boosting yor hormones and neurotransmitters as you aroused.
Dr Larry Wilson lists sexua| preoccupation as a stimulant.

During times when my adrenals have been very bad, I could feel myself shake looking at p 0 r n o g r a p h y. Just like I would shake if under a lot of stress or arguing with someone.....so it is a stressful activity.
And the really neat thing is that when I went through the honey-moon phase last summer, I had a great libido, good energy. Erection every morning for 3 months. And during this period I had ZERO interest in looking at p 0 r n. I believe because my hormones and neurotransmitters were normal during this period....so I wasn't looking for something to boost them.
The same article from Larry Wilson explains how addiction can be a result of adrenal fatigue.
Stimulant use, however, can also be a result of adrenal burnout. While stimulants can cause or contribute to adrenal weakness, some who use stimulants do so because they are in adrenal burnout already.
Stimulants are attractive to one in burnout to provide temporary energy. This is an important appeal of the drug culture, both legal and recreational. It is also the appeal of loud music, sexua| addiction, and even anger.
These activities or attitudes can provide enough adrenal stimulation to allow a person to feel better temporarily. This is an important reason why giving up one’s addictions can be difficult. When one gives them up, one must face the fact that one is exhausted, depressed and often just feels awful due to adrenal burnout. It is safe to say that most people addicted to stimulants or other drugs including cigarettes, cocaine, marijuana, and others has some degree of adrenal insufficiency.
In my journey....I've been working hard to reduce lust, viewing p 0 r n o g r a p h y, fantasizing, etc. I've been using self-hypnosis, mindfulness mediation, etc.
Not to rain on your parade……just wanted to hopefully understand the sexua| activity is draining, even if you are only thinking about it or watching it.
