Is Reef Iodide (for aquariums) safe for human consumption?

I understand that Lugol's solution, even if it is produced for aquariums, is safely consumed by humans.

I also understand that the amount of radiation that will reach the west coast of N. America shouldn't pose a danger to humans, but just to be cautious I picked up a bottle of Reef Iodide which contains potassium iodide.

The bottle, of course, says "Aquarium use only!"
I see no indication of the chemical grade, either on the bottle or at Seachem's website.

Doesn't anyone know if it would be safe if used by a human.

I would also like to mention that I am currently taking kelp pills because of a sluggish thyroid. I'm trying to track down some Lugol's, but so far no luck. My kelp pills are almost out, and my health food store has run out of kelp pills (I bet you know why.) So I am considering using the Reef Iodine if need be. But I need assurance that it is safe for human consumption.
