No reason for any "uh oh"...Re: Uh oh
I'm not deleting anything. It's a learning opportunity for people.
And a good opportunity to reconfirm (for the zillionth time on CZ), that I'm not "unwilling to open up to such an idea" or learn more about anything...I checked out these claims YEARS ago.
What this...
>>> The positively charged bleach attracts negatively charged particles in pesticides, etc., and is completely gone after proper rinsing and air drying.<<<
...totally fails to take into account is that produce is porous, and not entirely made of pesticides (and not all pesticides & poisons are alike in their 'negatively charged particle constituents).
So, soaking produce in a known poison may be "scientifically safe" in the manner described (just like 3ppm fluoride in the water is scientifically "safe" :::eyeroll:::), but it doesn't take into account what soaks INto the produce that remains in the produce for us to eat 'after proper rinsing and air drying'. And just how that decimates gut flora in even the tiniest amounts...not to mention being 'just one more poison' for our bodies to deal with.
>>>But, this is new to some people, and rather than look into it, it's just a better idea to shoot it down altogether, and faster too. <<<
Regarding the above? If you mean me, you are incorrect.
Me = all done this thread/topic. There's absolutely nothing "natural" or healthy about soaking produce in bleach water.
