And the CORRECT answer is...
...there's absolutely no way to know for sure - and it doesn't have anything to do with the ACV.
Rocky was confused and didn't explain correctly/completely to Willow, so the incorrect conclusion was concluded. Willowley was only posting what Rocky had said.
First, if the bottle is still sealed there's a good possibility it's still "good".
If there's any type of mold or 'slime', then defintely throw it out.
If you knew what it smelled like before, and it still smells the same, it's likely fine.
This formula does have ACV in it (and will have again), but water/acv was only used in extracting the constituents from the various elements of the black & green
Black-Walnut . Had 100% ACV been used, then that *portion' of the formula would have had a very long shelf life. But that portion is only 1/3 of the entire formula (and it's not 100% ACV).
The other 2/3 of the formula is all the
parasite herbs. Those were mixed with water and vodka, and soaked for 3 days. Then that was boiled/simmered for 1 day (adding water & alcohol). Then that mixture was macerated. Then that mixture was boiled/simmered for ANOTHER day. Then it was pressed. THEN, it was allowed to simmer down to 1/4 the original volume. (This is the way the
Black-Walnut mixture was also made, only that was water & ACV).
Then when both solutions were finished, they were mixed in a jar 2/3 herbs to 1/3 walnut, and then that mixture was mixed equal parts with....vegetable glycerin. And the vegetable glycerin is what "keeps it fresh".
However, the official "shelf life" of vegetable glycerine is "1-2 years". :::shaking head & rolling eyes::: Of course, the official shelf life of say processed shortening is also 1-2 years, and we know the actual shelf life is more like 20 years (if not opened) and 5+ years even if opened.
ALSO, remember the herbs in this solution are for 'killing critters'...so it's not very likely that there's an overgrowth of critters.
So, the correct answer is: it's likely fine, but could be 'not fine'. If I had it, I could smell it and tell you...but I don't have it.
In this case, I feel the best rule of thumb (especially for someone that's compromised) is: "If in doubt, throw it out".

Uny
