Re: Yes, Herbs Are Way Underestimated!!!!!!!
Many people in the past, died of infection, that could have been easily prevented with better hygiene. One of the ideas to come from modern medical practice, is the knowledge about how disease is spread, through poor hygiene.
People did not die because herbs were ineffective, they died from ignorance of the causes of disease, a harsh environment, lack of clean drinking water, or lack of nutrition, (due to poverty or ignorance). Poor dental hygiene was also a big contributor to a short life span. Venereal disease was another big killer, as were wars and natural disasters.
People do not live longer now because of modern medicine, they live longer because they have clean water, good hygiene, proper nutrition, and most importantly, knowledge of how disease is spread. This does not apply to all people, there are many places on Earth where people still die very young because they live in conditions similar to those of the past. Modern medicine can't help them, but access to clean water, and good nutrition, would go a long way in preventing their early demise.
Herbs are extremely effective for a great many health issues, far more effective than many synthetic drugs. Do some research on the effectiveness of pharmaceutical drugs, and you will find that their effectiveness is often less than the natural medicines. When your doing your research, avoid drug company propaganda sites, or you will simply be getting the hype, but not the factual information.
