Bowel Cleansing, Constipation and the MC

Hey folks,

I had a post in other forums, Bowel Cleanse Support and Dr. Schulze , but since the answer turns out to be very applicable to Master-Cleanse participants, I'm reposting it now. Basically I had a super wierd poo more than once on the Dr. Schulze Bowel Cleanse and figured out what it was. See below:

I guess I have to describe it now. I've been doing the Dr. Schulze Intestinal Formula #1. Several times recently I've seen red stuff in the pot, not blood, kinda powdery and the poo breaking apart. Very strange. Until this morning when my burning poo made the answer very obvious.

Yup, it burned, then I realized that all the red stuff which was breaking stuff apart was Cayenne from my Master Cleanse 2 weeks ago! This means many things. First, I can see the Cayenne was trying to do it's job and break things up, but it can only do so much as it has been stuck for 2 weeks itself and only expelled with the IF#1. It simply means that I had and still have much work to do on my digestive system if the cleansing agent can have such slow transit time. It also backs up the assertion that those doing The Master Cleanse should have their digestive system to the stage of 1BM daily (which I have only when I eat very well). I'm sure the Master-Cleanse still helps, but I don't think it is sufficient by itself, not just 10 or 14 days which is what I've done many times.

This year I've decided to be much more aggressive with my cleansing until I get to 2-3 BMs daily which is where my best friend is - and she's 55! I have work to do. I thought this might be useful. Quarterly cleanses are helpful I'm sure, but I'm thinking for optimal health, my regular MC's are more maintenance and I want to be better than I'm at now, rather than just maintain. So on with the cleansing!
