..we haz a clue why the eyes are so sore

..for the last four years.
been on various eye drops for "dry eye syndrome".
[well..that was best guess from eye doc..]

...eyes tend to go quite "bloodshot"..especially
when the eyes are closed..wake up with "vampire eyes"
everyday. seems rather backwards, actually. inflammation
of the conjunctiva of the eye..but mostly when asleep?..
not so much during the day..although they do tend to
sting and burn a lot..pretty much all the time.

..Silver Sol drops thru the night..every time I wake
up for ..any reason. Does seem to help..but it don't
fix anything for long. Antihistamine drops takes the
inflammation down..but don't hold. A few hours
later..need to do it again..Sam. a small sample of fluid covering the eye surface..
take a look see ...and I find..the same fungal crap
that is everywhere else. Reckon that would be irritating
to the's loaded with microscopic sprouting ..things.
The long sprout [100 micron] is actually translucent..when top lit..its the same
fiber demon that sprouts everywhere else...and grows to
such luxuriant lengths on the skin. I have pulled fibers
from the eye surface in the past..very ..annoying.
Nothing like a "hair" growing across your eye lens to get
your attention.
