Re: Sodium Chlorite as pH booster

Hello,

I belive the pH boost comes mostly from the lye and possibly the Sodium Chlorate which most Sodium Chlorite Flakes contain.

I say this because I distribute Sodium Chlorite, sourced from Spain.

It's a very clean product... with no Sodium Chlorate, and less than .07% Lye (Sodium Hydroxide).

I tried this, and my Sodium Chlorite Powder did not alter the pH of distilled water until I put in more than 20 of 22.4% drops in it.

The flake gave me a .1 change at 6 drops @ 1/45 ml per drop.
