Re: Coconut oil and eczema

it's just the dead skin lifting.

try this for a few days-better yet a week-completely STOP using the face scrub. More than likely it's astringent--regardless of how 'gentle' it claims to be.

Use either unscented tearless baby shampoo & a SOFT washcloth & don't 'scrub'--and rinse with LOTS of warm water --like 20 times & apply VCO after patting dry.

or just before you wash, apply a heavy layer of VCO, leave it on for a minute, then wipe in circular motion, GENTLY- with a SOFT wet warm washcloth--use lots & lots of warm water & rinse, like 20 times- pat dry, apply vco light layer to sink in & leave your face alone.

If you're not wearing heavy make-up--just try the water/VCO method.

I haven't used soap on my face in years, nor any 'facial scrubs'--they ALWAYS caused me problems. Sometimes you just need to eliminate the harsh chemicals. The methods above are what I've used for 25 years, and when you can't see my grey hair, you'd think I was 25. ;)
