Re: the deal with my lips . . . and a photo presentation

>>supplementing with acidophilus, some naturally derived vitamins, bee pollen, cod liver oil, echinacea, calendula, and plenty of water with lemon juice.<<

I will not eat dairy other than goat milk or ghee (clarified butter), salt other than Sea Salt , oil other than olive and coconut, and sweeteners other than Stevia or raw honey. I will eat only alkaline fruits and nuts and limit my protein to goat meat, chicken and fish with low mercury levels.

I will be eating raw and baking a lot and eating very little fried food, and always with coconut oil. Lots of leafy greens, broccoli, and seaweed. I will not drink any alcohol save a glass of wine or two in a couple weeks, and will be trying some oil pulling, probably first with coconut oil, then calendula infused olive oil with a drop of neem oil.<<

All of that should help... suggestions.

You have probably already run into this, and, you may have already accessed those things I present, however, it bears repeating...

Reactions to personal care items can cause the issues... you may want to look into that and eliminate them and see if there is improvement.

Lip balms such as carmex, and chap stick can lead to dependence on them and are nothing but symptom relievers... they do not *FIX* the problem at all.

I do not use any personal care items other than things I would eat for over 5 years... nor do I need them. Two friends of ours, one with Mary Kay, and another an Origins rep both say my skin and complexion is beautiful... and I use nothing... zip... not even topical oils anymore... I have learned to make adjustments with diet to change outwardly... which, to be honest, needs to be constantly accessed... as dry skin indicates a need for me to increase beneficial, VITAMIN RICH fatty acid intakes.

Many times it can be our own habits that are causing our problems - and personal care items are huge culprits.

Obviously, nutritional deficiencies can cause dry skin and peeling lips - as you most likely know. Deficiencies of vitamin A, Bs, C, D, E, or K and any number of minerals, most notably perhaps are sodium\potassium ratios.

For the foods... Organic\biodynamic, and\or grown yourself without the use of chemical poisons or GMOs are your best options.

To that end, your choices look great... however, I have a question:

What kind of cod liver oil are you using? And, are you using a good, from pastured cows, butter? If you can, get it raw.

I would be willing to bet, if you took a great cod liver oil with a great butter, together, you would see improvement in short order. Ghee by itself may not be the best choice here. Both the *whole* butter and cod liver oil, are loaded with fat soluble vitamins and all sorts of other goodness like quinones... most notably perhaps are vitamin K and CoQ10.

Pacific peoples combined coconut oil with plenty of fatty fish... some, further inland combined with pork and\or chicken fats, others, even further inland, were consumers of raw dairy products... any will likely work.

Healthy, whole food, raw if you can get them, vitamin rich fats are a must.

A good, clean water and hydration goes without question.

You have options...
