Beginning Water Fast tomorrow... should I be nervous?
I am a little bit concerned about water fasting. I've spent the last couple of months doing intermittent fasting (3 days feeding, 1 day fasting), and that's been fine. But, recently, I've decided doing a full-fledged 7 day
Water Fast might be a good idea to try something new.
However, I am a little bit concerned. I've noticed that some people have terrible side effects while fasting for extended periods of time (not to say that 7 days is as big of a deal as the 14+ days that I've seen some people do). What are the odds that I will experience this things as well?
I'm not really in this for weight loss, as I am already 110 pounds. I really would like more spiritual awareness and increased creativity for my paintings, and I've read in many places that this is one of the best ways of achieving that.
With all this being said, I guess my point is this: what is going to happen to me? Will I be alright? Also, how do you keep yourself motivated to even last beyond one day? Doing a 3:1 feed-to-fast pattern hasn't been an issue, but I wonder if I'll be able to make it past that second day without food. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can manage that?
Thanks again, everyone. I appreciate your time, and I'm looking forward to your enlightening responses.
Yours,
Mari
