questions on identification, contagion, wash and cleaning protocol
Warning long post:
We have had what we think are "bird" mites, although they burrowed into our skin and live in our nasal passages, etc.
We now have the above small arthropods (our identification) AND filariasis (we think based on the .1 to .6cm semi life like entitites we find on ourselves especially around our eyes.
We have some pustues and small bites and some big more inflamed bites. We can pick mites out of many of them. Or at least what we think are mites.
Four 3 months we have:
bombed our car and home two or three times a week,
have no pest strips in all bags of clothes and around the house and car,
cleaned everything with alcohol, borax, vinegar, hydrogen peroxide, etc.,
baked our shoes, clothes and linens at 190 degrees for 45 minutes, frozen our wallets, etc.
and have taken ivermectin for twenty strait days. (which we see may not be a great idea)
We added oxibenzdole and praziquantel two weeks ago when we had to face up to the tiny worms not being our imagination or skin peeling off.
We wonder if we are contagious and to what degree?
Does anyone know an efficient way to ensure your environment and clothes are kept as parasite free as possible?(We are going broke and doing nothing but cleaning, washing, baking and ministering to our bodily parsasites. Not to mention potentially killing ourselves with pesticides.)
Any help would be appreciated as we have passed the point of feeling like we can beat this.
When we get back to Canada we think we'll try to check in the emergency room and tell them they have to identify this in case we are contagious and a plublic health hazard.
We did see a doctor here in California where we came to have three months with our son and she gave us prescriptions for anything we asked for and said she had had another patient with similar sypmtoms, who just quit coming. Understandably, she didn't want to touch us. Told us to write the state and the government to get them to pay attention to this. Gave us a number to call to get identification from the state, but they only do this for agribusiness, even though they are a state agency paid by taxpayers.
