Exactly my point. Candida is kept in check by our stomach acids. When you eat too much protein and fat you are overworking your body and eventually it can't handle it and stops producing sufficient acid and your stomach becomes too alkaline while the rest of your body becomes acidic.
Candida doesn't flourish because of anti-biotics. Anti-biotics do kill off good bacteria which gives candida more room to operate but the root cause of candida is because of a weakened digestive track/immune system.
We don't consume enough fiber and instead ingest way too much fat and protein which backs us up. 5 days on the fruit diet and I am seeing candida in every stool.
