Re: Undertaking 15 day Water Fast and seeking guidance
Oh gosh thanks for the reply! You were really helpful :3
My privilege :).
... Ooh, i have a question: Must I blend/juice the juice myself or can I go out and buy prepackaged juice, no sugar, hand squeezed and stuff?
It is nutritionally ideal to juice it yourself and preferably it will be organic and as free of pesticides as possible.. Some of the pre-packaged stuff is ok, but will not contain the live enzymes found in fresh juiced and most of it will be cooked.
Or would it negate the effects of the detoxification?
I don't believe decent prepackaged juice would negate the effects of your fast, but the effects would be optimized with live juices and again, preferably organic at a time when we really want to provide our body with the best nutrition possible.
Also, do you know around how many calories can I consume per day right after breaking the fast? I know fruits contain a significant amount of calories so I wouldn't want to over eat them after the fast.
Given your weight i would very roughly estimate it to be about 2500-2800 normally and about 2000-2250 after 15 days of fasting. To keep the fat burning coming at a healthy pace i would consume about 1500-1750 in the first week and about 100 extra each week over the next six weeks.
I'm now on day 5-6 of my fast, and I'm feeling a bit woozy. I understand if I get up of bed too quickly my vision blackens and I'd feel like passing out, but that's well managed. But I can't do much hard work, for example, Just now I tried climbing up one flight of stairs and my heart started thumping so hard and I got dizzy, took me a few minutes to get my bearings straight. Is this normal?
All of this is exceedingly normal in a fast, yes. Unless we are toxemia free (which most of us are not) we have to change postures gradually and take stairs a much slower pace.
Thanks for all your answers again! :D
You are very welcome Steph :).
