Re: customized color for foundation makeup?

The big problem with mineral makeup is if you have mature skin. That stuff just sits on top of your dryish skin, stuck in the hairs, and looks like crap. I've tried every mineral makeup out there, including Mineral Glo, which is hard to get, and still looks cakey (on me at least).

Seriously, I finally gave up. The alernative is NO makeup at all, which is fine for most of the time, but there are times I need coverage.

I ended up going back to Chanel. Now at least I look halfway decent when I go "out". Otherwise I'm not wearing anything at all.

There are minerals you can buy to make your own, but YOU have to mix them. And I tried to do that with the proper yellowish, brownish, redish. I put these colors in a very natural cream. I looked like an Umpa Lompa. Seriously. And I'm very good at color mixes.

What I haven't tried, and this might work, is getting a good mineral makeup and infusing it in a natural cream. I have no idea if this would work, but why not? Make your own cream makeup out of natual minerals???

Just my insight into years of trying like hell to get out from behind the Macy's makeup counters. At least with Chanel, they have Vit A and some other good things in their makeup. Is it completely safe? I don't know and I'm afraid to look it up, quite frankly.
