The kombucha SCOBY is sensitive to the oils in certain herbs and flowers...The suggestion is to use pure green
and/or bLACK TEA WITHOUT any other additions, and to add these only after the ferment is complete.
I love juniper berries and ginger, and blueberry juice--and add them all after the kombucha has done its work.
But nothing is as good a teacher as one's own experience...you might be the exception; the pioneer...
