aah--this explains the craving for an occasional piece of burnt toast. Hope the dog feels better soon...best thoughts.


HV, do you think there is any connection to this place
in the brain that apparently, when touched with a probe, occasions the smell of burnt toast, to the patient being operated on?

Interesting, eh? Could it mean anything? A need for charcoal and the body trying to supply it? I don't know if you're aware of the Canadian doctor who pioneeered this anti-epilepsy surgery...It was considered radical to have the patient awake and speaking, in order to tell the doctor when he was at exactly the precise place--wherein I believe he cauterized, and 'cured'.
