juniper knombucha, HV
I'v developed a real taste for kombucha to which I add some wild bluebberies (frozen), ginger juice and juniper berries.
about a heaping handlful of the JP, and then I steep it further in the fridge for a few weeks, then strain.
I wondered if you'd care to comment on any possible effects, pro and con. I just love the flavour of the juniper, and often will nibble on the 'berries' as well. (don't like gin) Having now strained some brew, there's quite a lot of resin on my fingers, hard to remove--I guess baking soda will do it.
As someone who had nephritis as a child and has one kidney half the size of the other, is there any problem with the juniper--I know it increases kidney filtration...
don't drink it everyday, but sometimes will have a few glasses.
