Re: joint question
My mother is 77 and just had this surgery--got a titanium hip--and was told she needs the other done in a year. like yours she was told she had no cartiladge left. I was trying to encourage her to try some of HV's suggestions, was very concerned about the surgery, but she trusted what the doctors were telling her, and was in a lot of pain...
She also has knee problems, but said the pain from the hip made life unbearable. I believe the cells can be encouraged to regrow, as HV says, but it might also mean stopping doing some things that exacerbate the condition.
I would imagine those things to be food-related.
I am very concerned that my mother has to have a cortisone shot every couple of months to keep her going. Without it, life is not easy. With it, she forgets that she is reliant on it...
I wish you and yor mother the best!
Hope you can get her taking all the good herbs and foods...
