Re: Vitamin C Revisited

"Vitamin C is extremely similar to glucose in chemical structure"

No its not, although the both contain carbon atoms. Glucose is a carbohydrate where as "vitamin C" is not. Its metabolic fate differs from that of glucose.

Also, where did you come up with the notion that:

"anything that raises insulin levels will promote the storage of fat".

Its bunk, and misleading. But its meaningless, because, "promote" says nothing. Fat either gets stored or it doesn't.

I disagree that "vitamin C" is the "second most important companion nutrient"

Guess what, vitamin C is not a "nutrient". What makes it second most important ? How do you know its not "fourth", or first ?

I thought I'd exercise my free speech and share my opinion, whether it puts knots in your Keds or not.

Your posting belongs in the Vit C forum or diabetes forum, not the Iodine forum. The words in your message have absolutely nothing to do with Iodine supplementation, any more than my pencil causes spelling errors, merely because someone somewhere once mis-spelt a word using a pencil.
