Gasoline has a "shelf life" that is probably less than a month if it is allowed to remain stagnant (in gas stations, the level in the underground tanks is constantly changing, the waves result in a "stirring" action). Ask the owner of a gas station about how to compensate for "stale" gas and if gasoline conditioners like STP or other brands can help. Gasoline becomes "gummy" and will quickly ruin an engine unless first treated with a fuel conditioner/additive (inexpensive). Most likely, gas station owners add a fuel conditioner to the underground tanks every weekend if they close Sundays (maybe even nightly in winter).
...and consider getting fire extinguishers (I have five of these, about $15.00 each). Each can is good for ELECTRICAL fires, wood/fabric, and GREASE fires (not different cans for different fires, EACH can handles ALL fires).
..yes, the cans really are the size of a hair spray can and are claimed to have a wider spray than large extinguishers and last almost twice as long.
