Re: Just had to get stitches-what can I take for the pain?
I'm so sorry you cut yourself Jackie ;( but I'm even sorrier that you didn't know you didn't have to go to the doctor to get stitches!
I'm also very sorry that you hadn't run across all the posts on the forum about using Cayenne powder to stop bleeding and heal wounds. If you would have immediately packed the cut with Cayenne powder the bleeding would have stopped immediately and the healing would have begun. It is a POWERFUL healing herb not just internally but externally too!
Did they use stitches that dissolve or do you have to go back to the doctor and have them removed?
If you don't have to go back to get them removed I would go ahead and put Cayenne powder on the cut, even with the stitches because it will still help to heal it and it is also GREAT for healing with NO scar! It might burn just a tiny little bit but it won't last long. What I'd do is heap some Cayenne on the cut then cover it with a band-aid and leave it on overnight, you might want to put a drop of water on the cut before you put the Cayenne so it stays in place while you're covering it. The next morning I'd remove the cayenne and make a Slippery Elm paste the consistency of Playdough and cover it with a band-aid or just let it dry because it will get hard when it dries, just let it absorb into your skin and do its healing work.
I hope you aren't taking any antibiotics Jackie because all the garlic you're taking is enough to ward off infection.
Blessings,
Willow
