I crave natural salt and eat it liberally. I never get water retention or any other symptoms of too much sodium.
In fact I can eat about 6 grams of it without ANY change whatsoever in thirst. I typically eat about 10 grams (I also suffer from adrenal fatigue) and it does make me a little bit thirstier, but only enough to consumer maybe 8 extra ounces of water which is a big time sign that the body needs this salt.
