Re: Coffee Enema Questions
Hi Jackie,
I'll give you my take on the CEs because it always helps to hear stories from different folks since we're all different. I've never done a water enema before a CE. That really is up to the individual, if you feel like you've got fecal matter you want to get out before you do the CE and you want to do a water enema thats fine. If you choose to do one you don't have to wait any time at all, you can do the CE immediately after. I see that britelite likes to hold the water, again I think thats a personal preference. I remember Uny telling me that is isn't necessary to hold the water enema but if you feel like you need to then by all means do.
I lay on my left side too in a partial fetal position. I don't tuck my legs way up because that is really uncomfortable for me. The main thing you want to do is to make sure you're comfortable during the CE. You might have to wiggle around a bit at first to find the way you're most comfortable.
When I did my first CE I felt energized, well I still do for that matter but I mistakenly thought it was what I would call a 'caffeine buzz' but in reality, I don't know what a caffeine buzz is because I don't drink coffee, never have lol! It makes you feel energized because of all the toxins that leave your body, its truly an amazing feeling. It is possible to get a caffeine buzz if you don't expel all the coffee because your body will absorb it if you don't.
I don't think you have to worry about getting it to high because I don't see you inserting that tube too far up when you're a newby to CEs so I wouldn't worry about that. I insert the tube anywhere from like 3-4 inches (maybe sometimes only 2-1/2") so as long as you do that I think you'll be okay. If by chance you do feel like you've got a buzz and its making you uncomfortable you can always do a warm distilled water enema to flush out the remaining coffee and that should take care of the buzzy feeling.
Just be sure to use distilled water if you do a water enema because you sure don't want to be putting anything but pure water inside you. Also, I think with the all the things you've had with your colon maybe you want start slow and work up. By slow I mean do a 2 cup and when you expel that do another 2 cup right away, we call that a back to back enema which is really considered one enema since an enema is usually 4 cups. If you can't take in the whole two cups the first time don't stress about it, you'll work up to it. Just try to hold it about 12-15 minutes. Britelite had some good suggestions on that, we all do what we have to do to hold it, whatever works I say! I get all set up and take a book to read while I'm holding the enema.
I want to tell you how much I admire you for not hemming and hawing around for months, putting it off because you were scared. Thats what I did! I can kick myself every time I think about how many months I put it off because I was scared, what a baby I was lol! I just couldn't believe how GREAT I felt after my first one. Then I was mad at myself for procrastinating lol! I'm so happy you're not doing what I did. You go girl!!!!
I'm so glad to hear from you, I've been wondering how you're doing on the herbs. Have you tried the B & B to help you sleep or did you find that one of the other herbs helped you more with that? How about the cayenne? Tell us all about your experience with them please, seems like I've been waiting a long time to hear and I know you've only had them for a week lol but I'm just so excited for you Jackie! Have you barefooted yet to help with sleep? I can guarantee that will help, we all need to get rid of that bad electricity!
Please be sure to let us know how your first CE went!
Blessings,
Willow
