Re: I Need Help for Ordering Herbs for tincturing
I think you would be better off ordering everything from M/R because you can order less than a pound from them whereas at P/B the minimum you can order is one pound.
I've listed the formulas for the tinctures you want to make and listed how they're listed on M/R & P/B websites. Unfortunately if you want the Lobelia you'll have to order a whole pound from P/B because M/R is out of it.
As for the Echinacea vs. Lobelia bulk, I'd say a pound of Echinacea is just a little more in volume than a pound of Lobelia but that is because the Echinacea is a hard root whereas the Lobelia is the herb/seed/pod so it isn't as solid as the Echinacea.
As for the Lobelia that is listed as: organically grown dried herb in seed stage at P/B, that is the one you want, its the herb, the pod and the seed which is much cheaper than just the Lobelia Seed.
Nerve Sedative (Schulze)
Use equal parts of all herbs.
Valerian root - M/R listed as: Valerian Root
Lobelia herb/pod/seed - P/B listed as: Organically grown dried herb in seed stage
Passionflower - P/B listed as: Organically grown dried herb
Hops flower - M/R listed as: Hops Flowers, whole
Black Cohosh root - M/R listed as: Black Cohosh Root
Blue Cohosh root - M/R listed as: Blue Cohosh Root
Skullcap - M/R listed as: Skullcap
Wild Yam Root - M/R listed as: Wild Yam Root
Mountain Rose is out of Lobelia and Passion Flower so I'd order those two from P/B.
Herbal Calcium (Christopher)
6 Pt. Horsetail grass - M/R listed as: Horsetail (Shavegrass)
4 Pt. Comfrey root - M/R listed as: Comfrey Root
3 Pt. Oat straw - M/R listed as: Oatstraw
1 Pt. Lobelia - P/B listed as: Organically grown dried herb in seed stage
St. Johns Wort
M/R listed as: St John's Wort
Hope this answers all your questions. I just looked on M/R website and as of my posting all things were in stock except the Lobelia and the Passion Flower but that could change at any time so I'd be quick in ordering.
I'm off to bed for the night so if you've got more questions I'll check in tomorrow.
Blessings,
Willow
