O\T - totem and other things...
>>"Do you have a totem animal?"<<
No, not in the true sense...
I have always associated with the bear... and have a had a few *spiritual* encounters with other animals... the most profound being a Coyote.
I have also been called *the bull* by native people in Guatemala... probably due to my physical ability to do heavy work all day long, and carry heavy loads... sometimes over long distances.
While a blog may be beneficial, and would likely open many eyes to some of ML's ideas (most of the information can be found in his forum here), I am spending the bulk of my time these days working within my immediate family and community on relationships... if the SHTF, we are going to need each other in many more ways than just socially. Best to have cultured those relationships ahead of time in preparation... and to understand each individual's strong points... where their value and contribution to the whole lies. Anyone that has no valuable skills to add to survival of a tribal unit will likely be toast... if\when the time comes.
If things continue to degrade... people will increasingly have to carry their own load and then some in order to support any children in the family\tribal\clan unit, or they risk becoming a liability, that threatens the survival of the whole... there will be little room for *welfare* and *charity*.
As an added curiosity, and related to this post... while gun sales increased exponentially, the economy tanked, and unemployment went up, violent crime has dropped... I take this as a sign that many people are realizing *we* are all in the same boat together and there is a greater need to work with and for each other.
A big part of the drop in crime could be the immigration, and concealed carry bills they passed in AZ too though...
There have been more reports of people shooting burglars inside their homes... not surprisingly, burglaries are dropping too.
