is not always so evident as the first two pics.
Top lighting results in a reflective image...which
is generally translucent/crystal .
Lit from below..and gathering the light
that is transmitted through the subject..
the flat ribbon critters with 'leaves"
look more like ...a fungus...
heres one at a lower mag..no top lighting..
...and another "top lit" ribbon critter with leaves..
that I identified as a morg fiber in the pic..
but..morg fibers didn't have "structures" on them..
a year ago..they looked like ...hair...banded hair [sugar snakes] or translucent hair...but hair/fibers..cylinders..
no structures attached..they didn't look like plants.
I believe this is one of the "white plants" gathered out of
urine..have seen them there many times..sometimes in large
numbers. I suspect that they are the end result of
the tap water "fungi". One can only imagine the stress
on the kidneys dealing with this sort of thing.
This thing has a long straight cylindrical body...like
a morg fiber..but has prominent leaves. Looks..plant like..
but does not dispay the "folded ribbon" morphology of the
water "fungi". Leaves growing on columns.
[?? fungus and morg fiber hybrid??}
....this is getting a little confusing.
I have other pics in the stash of obvious morg fibers..with
vestigial structures ...small..but obviously not part of
being a "cylinder".
