..another water sample

200 ml of tap water from the kitchen sink.

sample taken at 1 Pm 8 sept 2010.
Stared at the water with camera at about ten pm.

Noted that there was a LOT of particles visible to
unaided eye. Looks very..bad. Ok..are particles
just mineral accumulations. {umm..doubt that..]

Closer look shows that some of the "particles" are
...critters of some sort. Can't really get a good look
by looking through the flask...compound curves...reflection
problems. Only thing I really wanted to establish is
that "something" is in the water before I start mucking
about taking samples from the flask.

** REALLY need to learn how to properly get labware
"very very clean". Obvious film on flask remaining after
cleaning it with alcohol solution. Wrong strategy.
Weird effects from thin alcohol/water mineral film.
Noted that it was getting "foggy" as I was trying to take
pics...[heat from hand apparently causing a local fogging].

Other weirdness...why are the tiny bits launching off the
bottom? Suspect that heat from hand holding the flask
for several minutes was causing "water thermals".
Got to stop hand holding everything..it's causing problems.
