fibers can grow pretty darn fast

^^
link to a 4 pic series I pasted up in April.
...lesion overrun with fibers..cleaned lesion
with dry oxy pellets..look!..a clean crater!
...53 minutes later..over run again.

yeah..if you have the time and patience...you can
watch them fibers grow...when they in the mood..they
grow amazingly fast. Dry oxy...gentian violet..
MMS...
don't know whether they are IRRITATED by the chemicals and
are trying to grow away from the irritation...
OR..the chemicals are mOrg rocket fuel.
[...more oxidizer please...we's hungry]

would love to do some time lapse work..but lack the software to trigger the cameras..
Thinking about hacking an external trigger to the mouse key
that is alreaded coded for "take a picture" and running
it to a simple timer circuit. [More projects on an already
overloaded plate...]

....for a simple and inexpensive hand held microscopic camera..
it would be hard to beat the Celestron 44306...
[I've bought two..]and it's older sibling the 44302.
[got one of those too]

todays price at Amazon for the 44306
http://www.amazon.com/Celestron-44306-Handheld-Digital-Microscope/dp/B001UQ6E...

the older 44302 is selling for 42 dollars at Amazon.
[do get the 306 though, it has a much
better imager [2 megapixels] and higher magnification
capability [200x vs 150x]
and has a swiveling camera mount..so you can simply
turn the imager to frame the subject..not move the
entire microscope.
In addition, the illuminator leds are controlled
by a potentiometer wheel..so you are able to adjust the lighting level..
[including turning it off...very important if you are
going to light up the subject "the normal way" for a microscope..from the bottom! those LED illuminators
in the hand held 'scopes are on TOP..and the light hitting
glass [slides/petri dishes/plates] can cause trouble
with reflections and glare.
