Do you know of any good toothpaste's for children. For the first 7 years of life with my son we didn't use toothpaste with flouride, we filtered all of our water, and we skipped the x-rays and the flouride treatment at the dentist. We don't eat hardly any candy, no soda and very, very litte juice and no sticky white flour. He always brushed before bedtime and most mornings. When he ended up with two infected teeth that had to be pulled which resulted him having to take antiobiotics and two retainters in his mouth and a filling. Not ideal. So after all that we swithched to flouride and added mouthwash to his teeth routine. My other son had the exact same routine and never has had a cavity. So clearly since they both eat the same foods there is some sort of genetic component. I would love to get him off of flouride but not at the cost of his permanent teeth which are not coming in.
