Re: Time to break for me. Too weak.

So, here is my aftermath so far.

I went 10 days and a few hours and lost over 20 pounds. I stopped my fast on Friday afternoon and have been refeeding about 4 1/2 days now. I've since regained between 4-10 pounds of that weight but it is seesawing, as I eat. This was expected. My bodyfat % is still going down, albeit slower.

I have been eating a primarily vegetarian balanced diet, with very little amounts of meat introduced in the last day. I am reintroducing meat, along with fried stuff, and things that are too sweet or salty, very, very slowly.

So far, my goal of not smoking has been achieved and I am staying strong. I've only been off nicotine for just over 2 weeks and have little desire and no withdrawl for the smoke. It even irritates me a little bit most times. I have however not started drinking yet either and that will be the true test, though I'm going to give it a few more days of refeeding before I allow any alcohol.

Oddly enough, my energy has skyrocketed and I have attacked the gym, the road, and the pullup bar with a vengeance, working out 3 times in the last 2 days and feeling great for it, not worn down or anything. Maybe I'm just glutting myself on being able to do all I could do before the smoking started holding me back. I also sleep less than I did prefast and definitly less than during the fast and feel ok for it.

I am curious though, I know metabolism slows for a month or more after a Water Fast of any decent length. I was wondering if all this exercise I'm doing( and will keep at doing) will kickstart my metabolism or if it will come up on its own. The reason I ask, is that though I never ate large meals regularly before the fast, I am Russian, and when Russians families get together, we do like to glut on good Slavic cuisine. I would like to be able to keep up and this being full on a small plate of food will not be conducive in that setting.
