Funny that you mention the ruptured silicone implants, Tina... you realize the creator of Mirena is also the creator of the Norplant system that was "quietly and voluntarily" removed from the market after women complained of very similar side effects as those which many of us have experienced due to Mirena? When Wyeth got sued over Norplant, they pointed out that many of the lawyers organizing against them were experienced in silicone implant litigation and called it a "witch hunt", saying that they were targeted by unscrupulous silicone implant lawyers with some weird silicone bone to pick. As if! Maybe if it is THAT much of a problem and cause so many problems we should take it off the market! What a novel idea!
Google Sheldon Segal if you want a good but terrifying read. May he rest in peace but thank God he's gone or else he'd come up with the next "amazing" birth control device.
Anyway, sounds like you are on the road to recovery and that's what important. I know ginger is good but a bit harsh - have you tried ginger tea? Yogi makes an excellent one that tastes pretty good even without any added Sugar or honey that you might be able to find at your grocery store. I have tried it iced and it's good that way as well so maybe try fixing up a pot of that and mixing in with your juices, the flavor is not as overpowering as real ginger.
