As November gets closer, things will likely get "rosier" (cross your fingers). Until then, BP will try to avoid anything more than 'yada, yada, blah, blah discussion'.
With BP in charge of all information about the Gulf, we probably aren't getting an accurate picture of it's condition.
Most likely, more people in America will get involved with the aftereffects of what started in the Gulf because the oil and Corexit DID get into the loop current (it would be ridiculous to think otherwise). We don't know how much got in the loop current (I seem to remember Virginia and further north).
