Well, it's not just the calories that make a binge a binge. =) Eating in secret, mindlessly eating, and feeling guilty after the 'binge' are also a part of 'bingeing'.
And apparently there is also such thing as a subjective binge.
But what you said is true and to the point. I came off a fast on the wrong foot, and haven't been able to establish proper footing since. Breaking a fast is - IMO - more important than the fast itself.
