Gum recession, oil pulling Root canal

I have started oil pulling again after stopping for a long time. After a dental check up - I have been referred to a root canal specialist - as there appears to be 2 darks spots at the end of 2 separate root canals. One of the molars at the back I have been informed is now loose and there is alot of recession and bone loss there. The idea of redoing root canals and new crowns totally freaks me out.

I am not in pain - so why do I need root canals again.

In desperation to save my tooth and not face surgery again - I have started to oil pull with coconut oil as well as taking a tablespoon each day (as I have read so much about its health benefits).

WHen you start to OP - is this something that I should be doing daily for the rest of my life?

Could it save my tooth?
