They are stones. There are MANY posts that bring up this question, or look in the FAQ.

In my opinion, if something came out, it was successful. I did my first one 4 weeks ago and all I got out was chaff (floating green waxy stuff). But I figured it was successful because that came out, and maybe the stones will move forward for the next one! Some people get more the next day, I didn't.
