It seems strange that BP would be so accomodating about 'deepsea' video but ensure a media blackout on the surface of the water and beaches. I don't know if the public is truly aware of what we're dealing with. Is it really the caustic effect of the Corexit that makes the oil on the surface appear reddish-brown or is it a reddish-brown MUD from a mud volcano?
There are videos on youtube that suggest that BP struck a mud volcano. The same thing happened years ago while another company was drilling for oil and it still flows.
There is also a video on youtube that measures the radioactivity of tarballs (from naturally occuring ground uranium??) and a video of a researcher that collects rocks that have radioactive uranium in them (harmless levels of radiactivity???...iodine anyone?). If there is a naturally occuring mud and radioactivity, then we need to be aware so we can take better steps to stay healthy. Is this being covered up?
So, it may not be only the oil and Corexit that our bodies will have to deal with, but ash laden volcanic mud.
There are different types of underwater volcanos, but, as I recall, it wasn't always black fluid coming out of the pipe.
Woods Hole Institute (WHOI) got some footage of what a volcano would pour into the water.
=====================
This is BP video from June 9. Are we to believe that at that depth, BP successfully injected their drilling mud, AGAINST high pressure, into the oil deposit? What is coming from the pipe is reddish-brown. Earlier, there was white steam (like from a volcano).
