Re: Please advise! Parasite of unknown taxonomy

Could you describe your symptoms? The PPTU is a common diagnosis and relates to protozoa infections. Protozoa are different than worms in terms of treatments. I have not heard any reports of any common formulas like the one you mention that has effectiveness on protozoa, although artemsia may have some effect, but I would avoid long term use due to its toxicity.

There are a few on the other forum that are approaching this with other choices. I am currently using:

Amazon Bitters
Cats Claw
Jackass Bitters

Other products you could try are myrrh/goldenseal, neem, caprylic acid, lavender or lavendula, Alibiotic from NOW, monolauric acid, brucea javinica (watch for toxicity), black seed, boswellia, tea tree oil (topically), homeopathics including thuja, Deseret Biologicals Amoeba.

These can be tough bugs to eradicate and may be forced to use pharmaceuticals (Nitazoxanide, Flagyl etc).
