Not an experience anyone else should attempt

I am happy that you appear to have had a positive experience; however, there is no way in the world that I would recommend that anyone else try to follow in your footsteps.  The prescribed method for making oleander extract (known as "oleander soup') is based on the original Ozelle patent for Anvirzel and is designed to produce an extract with the best potency and least toxins.  The extra boiling time extracts more of the beneficial compounds and is also believed to help render much of the toxic compounds other than the cardiac glycosides pretty much harmless.  The large amount of filtration gets rid of debris which may still contains toxic material as well as larger organic compounds which may tend to cause or increase side effects such as diarrhea, nausea and/or headaches (as a rule, the better the filtration the less side effects, if any).

Many of the important compounds found in oleander are non-polar compounds which are not soluable in water.  Thus, the way you get such compounds from boiling is akin to the way you get broth from boiling meat or meat bones.  As a side note: unlike some herbal preparations, using an ethanol extraction method is not a good idea for oleander because many of the vital polar compounds precipitate out during the extraction process.

Alcohol is commonly used with herbal extracts and tinctures.  Apple cider vinegar is another option, as noted in the instructions for making "oleander soup".  Although I would agree that organic, non-distilled apple cider such as Braggs is the version with the most health benefits, regular distilled apple cider is a better preservative and results in less precipitate forming over time.  When little or no preser is used and no refrigeration is used, it is only a matter of time before the oleander extract will begin to develop mold.   I would imagine that it would happen in scant days with no preservative at all and when stored in room temperature.  You might be better served by freezing the unused extract and thawing as needed (and I note that Anviverzel is freeze-dried as a preservative measure and then later re-constituted in pharmaceutical grade distilled water for use orally or via injection).

Once again, NO ONE should attempt to follow your example.  As you pointed out numerous times, you are far different from most folks.

Good luck and please be careful!
